So we meet again Aesop. My dad gave me some Aesop samples he got from staying at a fancy hotel in Malaysia during a business trip. I am always keen on trying new samples (even though I am actively trying to reduce my sample collection) and so I happily accepted them. These are the samples he gave me--

The Backup Box (Large Items)
In my last post, I wrote about the smaller items I had in my backup box. Here is part two which houses bulkier items. The majority of these items were purchased from Priceline or Coles when they had a sale.

The Backup Box (Small Items)
I spoke about the items I recently opened up from my backup box yesterday. I have divided my backup box into two sections: small items and large items.
Small items are products which actually fit inside my backup box. Large items are items which are heavy or too large and I have them sitting next to the backup box inside my wardrobe.
In this post I will give a short overview of the types of small items I have in my backup box. As you can see, have enough mascara and eyeliner to last me at least another year and a half.

Using My Back Up Cosmetics and Skincare
What do you do when you finish a product? Open up another one of course! Here are the items I opened up from my 'backup stash' this month. I still get that rush of getting something new everytime I open up a product, even if I have had it in a box in the back of my closet for the past year.
Below, I will talk about why I decided to open the item and how long I have actually had it for.

Cosmetic-Love Mini Haul and Review
Nature Republic released another new EXO collaboration in mid December 2015 (pretty much on my birthdayT_T). I have been getting itchy about getting the lipbalms because it came in a Cherry flavour and it had a cute Baekhyun cartoon on it. Also the 2nd photobook/catalogue. After thinking about it for three months and checking out multiple online retailers, I decided to settle with two sets of the handcreams from Cosmetic-Love.
I like that Cosmetic-Love allows you to change the currency to something other than USD and KWN. I found it very helpful to see how much everything costs in AUD. There is also free shipping worldwide which I find to be a better deal when purchasing bits and pieces. However, I don't find the site particularly easy to navigate and I keep on missing out on the 'prices from' text on the bottom of selected items.
There was a 10% discount on Nature Republic so I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to pick up some handcreams. I am currently on a self-imposed no-buy and I used this as an opportunity to celebrate my small win of getting some contract work. I consistently work through and use my handcreams so I wasn't worried about hoarding these.

Aesop Skincare Samples
You know how I said I was going to finish using up my samples? I seem to keep on getting more to add to the pile (no, it's not a bad thing and I'm actually quite happy about it...).
In the first week of April, after finishing a contract role, I followed my friend Joy to the Aesop store in Myer where she stocked up on some products. She asked the sales assistant to give me samples to try as I have never used anything from Aesop before. Joy is a very thoughtful, intelligent, and strong person. We have been hanging out a lot lately and have gotten quite close in a short space of time.
The sales lady was very generous and heaped samples onto me after asking about my skin type.

The Cost of My Everyday Makeup Routine
I have seen this topic floating around and I was interested to see for myself what my everyday makeup routine translates to in terms of dollars. Please keep in mind I am only counting makeup, not including skincare such as sunscreen and mist (which is not a setting spray, so I include it in skincare).
Most of these will be approximate prices because many of these items were purchased overseas and I want to calculate this using the Australian Dollar.

Makeup and skincare empties + review: March 2016 (Project Use Up All the Samples 2k16)
It's already April and I still haven't found a full time job T_T On the plus side, I have gotten a few offers for contract jobs from other people who work in the field whilst twiddling my thumbs and going to interviews.
I also made another decent dent in my sample collection! Looks like everything I used up this month was skincare. Hopefully I'll finish a lip tint in April.
