Etude House Bling Bling Eyestick #08 Ivory Baby Star Review

I love glitter eyeliners because they look beautiful on the inner corner of the eyes. They make your eyes look wide, bright, and awake. Although white is traditionally the colour of choice, other colours such as champagne and baby pink have also been popular 'trendy' colours for kpop idols who wear glittery wide-eyed makeup.

This Bling Bling Eyestick is designed for twinkly, starry eyes and comes in 14 colours. Back when I purchased this from Etude House in Taiwan, only ten colours were released. This line mainly has varying shades of brown and gold with the odd pink, white, silver, purple, and coral coloured stick.

Rose Rose Shop Haul and Review #3

Backlog haul:) This one is from Rose Rose Shop in July 2015. This was definitely an impulse haul. I had initially only wanted more Mizon stuff, namely the AHA 8% Serum and more moisturisers. I really wanted to try more hand creams so in they went. In the last minute, I decided to try the Cosrx AHA and due to the upper weight bracket I had to pay for shipping, I threw in a whole heap of other stuff I wanted to try.

Ordered: 26/7/15
Shipped: 28/7/15
Received: 6/8/15

Shipping was unexpectedly quick!

Benefit: Do the Bright Thing (That Gal, Dandelion, High Beam, They're Real) review

Around a month ago, one of my friends gifted me Benefit's 'Do the Bright Thing' kit. I was so excited because I have recently been 'researching' reviews of High Beam and I was considering buying 'Finding Mr Bright' to get the sample size version.

Benefit is one of those brands I associate with being young, fun, quirky, and creative. The only other Benefit product I have owned was 'You Rebel', a tinted moisturiser.

Thank you Helen for being a mind-reader and letting me try out High Beam and discovering new products:)

Etude House Tear Drop Liner #1 White Tear review

I've seen this product making rounds on the interwebz from Korean girl group members and beauty gurus sporting the look. Here is my take on Etude House's Tear Drop Eye Liner in #1 White Tear.

What I like about it:
  • the irredescent glitters are blindingly beautiful, especially in sunlight
  • fine brush tip and a long handle for easy application. One dip in the tube should do the trick for both eyes.
  • the formula is glitter dense (i.e., more glitters than clear liner)
  • this glitter liner is uber cheap (6000 won is pretty cheap. I think a product like this would go for at least $15~$20 AUD)

What I dislike about it:

  • there was no security seal around the tube. For all I know, it could have been opened and used before... but the neck of the tube was clean, so it is probably new.
  • the product isn't evenly disbursed in the container. That's not really a problem, but it doesn't look nice in its brand new packaging (you can see what I mean in the above photo ^).
  • it turns flaky after a few hours and you will probably get loose glitter over your face. GLITTER MULTIPLES I TELL YOU.
What it looks like on me (LQ webcam photo -___-;;):

I'm wearing it on the inner corners of my eyes. It's very pretty when the liner catches light because it makes your eyes all *bling-bling* *kira-kira*. It also looks fantastic with aegyo sal style brown shadow under the eyes.

Verdict: I would definitely repurchase this! It's more of a "special occasion" makeup product but I've been wearing it everyday because it makes me feel pretty^^b

Dolly Wink/ Etude House haul (part 2)

Yay, so a few weeks ago I met up with Christina again and we had a good heart-to-heart chat. She gave me some good advice with things... but I'm a bit too shy and worried about my reputation and what not to take it too literally right now.

This is what she got me~
